lxqt 11.0 panel crashing when using main menu

problem description: lxqt panel crashes on some submenus of the main menu.

root cause: apparently a bug introduced by qtgui-5.9.2. I have a functioning system running lxqt 11 with qtgui-5.7.1 and it has no issues.
